OOIDA recognizes drivers for safe driving records

OOIDA recently announced honorees in the Association’s Safe Driving Award program. The following drivers have been recognized by the Association for truck driving excellence:

  • John C. Taylor of Cross Junction, Va., has been recognized for 67 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Don L. Peters of Saratoga, Wyo., has been recognized for 55 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Randall W. Strachan of Palmyra, Mo., has been recognized for 37 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Stephen D. Satterwhite of Sumner, Wash., has been recognized for 30 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Michael Eugene Zanella of Columbus, Ohio, has been recognized for 26 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Steve E. Keene of West Des Moines, Iowa, has been recognized for 20 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Tony F. Reynolds of Harlingen, Texas, has been recognized for 17 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Scott G. B. Sargent of Holmen, Wis., has been recognized for 16 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Richard Cooper of Victoria, Texas, has been recognized for 15 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Dave A. Billinger of Osawatomie, Kan., has been recognized for 14 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Tina Winifred Peterson of Blaine, Minn., has been recognized for 13 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Chris Winter of Memphis, Tenn., has been recognized for 13 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Mark A. Stopka of Tacoma, Wash., has been recognized for four years of safe, accident-free driving.

The OOIDA Safe Driving Award Program is designed to recognize and reward OOIDA members for their safe, accident-free years while operating a commercial vehicle. Safe driving awards are available to all eligible OOIDA members who qualify based on the number of years for which the member has operated a commercial vehicle without being involved in a preventable accident.
