Truckers who will be in Iowa in mid-July should stop by the Iowa 80 Truckstop and say hi to OOIDA’s Jon Osburn and the Association’s Spirit tour truck. The 38th annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree is slated for July 13-15 at the truck stop located off of Exit 284 on Interstate 80 in Walcott, Iowa.

As with every year, this year’s jamboree will feature the Super Trucks Beauty Contest and Antique Truck Display. Last year’s contest included 65 contestants and more than 150 vehicles on-site during the Antique Truck Display. More than 43,000 people attended the 2016 Walcott Truckers Jamboree and over 44,000 are expected this year.

In addition to the beauty contest and antique display, showgoers can enjoy the Iowa Pork Chop Cook-out, Trucker Olympics, the 1917 Velie 100th birthday party, and the Weigh To Win Truck Presentation. Live music will be performed by OOIDA Member Tony Justice, North of 40, Collin Raye, Mary Sarah, and Danny Lynn Howe and Band.

Parking and admission is free, including all concerts and events.
