Shooting at Memphis trucking company claims one life

A man has been charged with murder following a shooting on Wednesday, July 27, at a Memphis trucking company.

According to multiple reports, one person was killed and another was injured in the shooting at Hammond Transportation.

Charles Hammond, 30, was arrested by Memphis police and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder. According to The Commercial Appeal the suspect’s father, who was also named Charles Hammond and who founded the company, died in April.

News Channel 3 in Memphis said Michael Osborn was shot in the chest and died. Michael Hansbro was being treated at the hospital after being shot in the face.
