The shooting death of a truck driver in Polk County, N.C., has led to two men being issued warrants for first-degree murder.
Destry Horne, a 51-year-old truck driver from Lilesville, N.C., was found shot to death in his truck on March 31 on the on-ramp from Highway 108 to U.S. 74 West.
WLOS, a local ABC affiliate, reported Thursday, April 7 that Kwame Fernanders and Quintae Edwards were charged with first-degree murder. According to the report, Kayla Black is also under investigation but has not been charged.
Twenty-two-year-old Kwame Fernanders, 23-year-old Quintae Edwards and 18-year-old Kayla Black were arrested April 4 for breaking into a Gainesville, Fla., apartment.
Fernanders and Edwards were set to be extradited to North Carolina.
Investigators said the shooting appeared to be random.
