The all-out safety inspection blitz, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s International Roadcheck, is set for June 7-9.
Roadcheck is billed as the “largest targeted enforcement program on commercial vehicles in the world, with 17 trucks or buses inspected, on average, every minute.” The event partners 10,000 federal, state and local inspectors throughout the 72-hour event. No word yet on what this year’s focus will be.
In past years, jurisdictions in the U.S. and Canada have actively participated in the program and bragged about the number of inspections and out-of-service orders. There haven’t been any hard numbers out of Mexico in recent years. For more information, visit the CVSA website.
