In Indiana, a trucker whose tractor-trailer had been hit head-on by a car, jumped out and helped pull the driver from her vehicle just before it caught fire. It happened on State Road 32, north of Indianapolis, on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 22.

The truck driver, 70-year-old Roger Hicks of Detroit, Mich., got assistance from two off-duty firefighters in getting the 30-year-old woman out of her car. Hicks wasn’t hurt, but his truck caught fire.
