Former Arrow Trucking CEO Doug Pielsticker has asked a judge for a lighter sentence.
The Tulsa World reports his attorney, in papers filed with the court, asked for “the shortest period of incarceration, if any, warranted under the circumstances.”
The filing also says Pielsticker has a bad heart, citing that as a reason to offer an alternative to prison time.
In February, the son of Arrow Trucking founder Jim Pielsticker pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and one count of personal income tax evasion.
Just before Christmas 2009 Pielsticker abruptly shut down Arrow Trucking and left hundreds of drivers stranded all over the country with unusable fuel cards and no way to get home.
