OOIDA announced Wednesday that Laura O’Neill-Kaumo will return to the Association’s Washington D.C. office as director of government affairs/counsel starting Sept. 1.

She will resume her position leading the Association’s lobbying staff as they pursue efforts on behalf of OOIDA members regarding all regulatory and legislative issues.

She earned a B.A. at Eastern Michigan University with a major in political science and minor in sociology. She also earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami, School of Law and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Her diverse background includes working as staff counsel for the Boston Red Sox, serving as an aide in the U.S. House of Representatives, and acting as an advisor on numerous federal campaigns.

Her return to OOIDA comes after the departure of Ryan Bowley, former OOIDA Director of Government Affairs, who recently relocated to Texas.
