Nussbaum increases driver pay, adds sign-on bonus

Truckers driving for Nussbaum Transportation will be bringing in the New Year on a positive note. Jeremy Stickling, director of human resources and safety at Nussbaum, confirmed to Land Line that drivers will be receiving a 6 percent pay increase effective on Jan. 5, 2015.

With a base pay range from 42 to 52 cents per mile, the average pay at Nussbaum will be $63,000 per year. Weekly minimum guarantee is now $1,050 a week. The top 25 percent earning will be $68,000 per year, and the top 10 percent will be around $70,000 a year.

New hires who are employed by the first week of January will receive a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Other perks include a clean inspection bonus, years of service awards, personal finance class, holiday and vacation pay, 401(k), insurance and more.
