American Truck Historical Society announces new executive director

The American Truck Historical Society has named Don Bretthauer its Executive Director. Bretthauer is a past president of the Kansas City Society of Association Executives and maintains the credential of Certified Association Executive.

Currently residing in Lawrence, Kan., Bretthauer grew up in a farming community in Kansas and is the son of a mechanic. He earned his bachelor’s degree in atmospheric science and a master’s in business administration from the University of Kansas. Bretthauer’s wife, Linda, is an events manager for a nationwide association.

The American Truck Historical Society, founded in 1971, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Kansas City, Mo. The Zoe Memorial Library includes more than 100,000 photos, 75,000 pieces of sales literature and periodicals, and several truck-related displays. ATHS publishes a bimonthly magazine called Wheels of Time.
