Since 1964, many people may remember receiving a green and white toy truck for Christmas. Fifty years since the first toy truck was introduced, Hess Toy Truck will be celebrating the golden anniversary with an East Coast roadshow from Nov. 1 through Dec. 12.
Fans and collectors will get the chance to see the entire collection of holiday Hess Toy Trucks and never-before-seen artifacts chronicling their history. The 40-foot Mobile Museum will start in New York and make its way down to Florida.
In addition to checking out the 50-year collection of iconic toy trucks, the Mobile Museum will also include outdoor activities for children, weather permitting. Such activities include a photo op with a custom background, a Kids’ Zone featuring puzzles and a holiday card coloring area, a prize wheel, and a bank of toy truck computer games.
Admission is free. For more information, visit hesstoytruck.com.
