The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association is encouraging Indiana truckers to submit comments on overweight permits.

The Indiana Department of Transportation has scheduled an open meeting early next month to address potential concerns about the enforcement of overweight permits in the state.

The meeting is scheduled for Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. ET at the Indiana Department of Revenue, 7811 Milhouse Road, Suite S, Indianapolis, IN 46241 (Reagan Building).

In a letter to OOIDA’s Indiana members, the Association explains that seating is limited and that anyone interested in attending is encouraged to RSVP to Gary Langston, president and CEO of the Indiana Motor Truck Association at gary.langston@imtaonline.net as soon as possible.

Truckers interested in providing comments or complaints for submission to the meeting agenda should include them with the RSVP email. Submissions are supposed to be provided to the meeting organizers.
