OOIDA recognizes drivers for safe driving records

OOIDA recently announced honorees in the Association’s Safe Driving Award program. The following drivers have been recognized by the Association for truck driving excellence:

  • David D. Foster of Joplin, Mo., has been recognized for 31 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Stephen D. Satterwhite of Sumner, Wash., has been recognized for 27 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Michael E. Zanella of Columbus, Ohio, has been recognized for 23 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Steve E. Keene of West Des Moines, Iowa, has been recognized for 17 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Scott Farley of Sioux City, Iowa, has been recognized for 15 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Sunny Ramen of Jersey City, N.J., has been recognized for 14 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Chris A. Winter of Memphis, Tenn., has been recognized for 10 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Rodney A. Monson of Berlin, Wis., has been recognized for nine years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Marcus Benning of Grand Haven, Mich., has been recognized for three years of safe, accident-free driving.


The OOIDA Safe Driving Award Program is designed to recognize and reward OOIDA members for their safe, accident-free years while operating a commercial vehicle. Safe driving awards are available to all eligible OOIDA members who qualify based on the number of years for which the member has operated a commercial vehicle without being involved in a preventable accident.
