Parking won't be an issue at GATS

| 7/9/2014

Despite rumors floating around, there will be plenty of parking at this year’s 16th annual Great American Trucking Show.

Word on the road suggests that parking will be sparse at GATS due to construction in the area. Randall-Reilly Events Manager Bonnie Gable says that is simply not true.

“We’re going to lose about 10 percent of our parking spots due to the construction,” Gable explained. “However, we do have Lot J available, and we’re also making arrangements for overflow parking at different locations.”

Shuttle buses to and from the convention center will be available to truck drivers who have to park away from the immediate area of the show.

GATS is on the industry calendar for Aug. 21-23 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.

The 5th Annual Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference will begin a day earlier on Aug. 20.

More than 500 exhibitors will be representing truck, trailer, engine, component and parts manufacturers, in addition to a variety of services geared toward the heavy and medium-duty truck industry.

OOIDA’s booth will be located in Hall F. “Land Line Now” Host Mark Reddig will be at GATS again this year.

With over 500,000 square feet of exhibit space, GATS features a Pride and Polish truck beauty competition; free educational seminars sponsored by the Texas Trucking Association; exhibits from leaders in the trucking industry; and more.
