Great Salt Lake Truck Show scheduled for Aug. 15-16

| Tuesday, July 08, 2014

The 25th annual Great Salt Lake Truck Show is on the calendar for Aug. 15-16 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The event will take place at Thanksgiving Point, which is located in Lehi, Utah.

Many stunning trucks will compete for awards while showing off their shine. Saturday will also feature a test of strength with a truck pull competition.

Entertainment will be provided during the show, including live music, games for children and a light show on Friday night. The highway patrol will be sponsoring a dunk tank, allowing everyone a chance to submerge an officer in water.

Proceeds will go to the National Kidney Foundation of Utah and Idaho. Each year more than 200 children with kidney failure, on dialysis, or awaiting a transplant get to experience the Truck Show Kidney Kamp thanks to money raised during the show. The Truck Show Kidney Kamp is an empowering camp in the Utah mountains where the children and their families connect and build friendships, hope and self-esteem.

Admission is free. For more information, go to www.saltlaketruckshow.com or call 800-877-1320.
