Scammers target E-ZPass users in Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is warning E-ZPass users of a possible email scam that asks them for money.

Known as a “phishing” scam, the email targets E-ZPass users with a message supposedly from the “E-ZPass Customer Service Center.” It asks the user for “Payment for driving on toll road.”

MassDOT says this is not a communication from E-ZPass.

If you receive such an email, or have any questions about E-ZPass service, call the real customer service center at 877-627-7745.
