Volvo’s “I am a Volvo Trucker” video received two silver and three bronze awards at the 35th annual Telly Awards.
The video is a first-person narrative that paints a picture of a modern professional truck driver and makes a notable departure from stereotypes so often used in marketing to truckers. The video can be seen here.
“We’re proud of the success and reach of this video to audiences that may not consider the essential role of trucking or professional drivers to our economy,” said Magnus Koeck, Volvo Trucks vice president, marketing and brand management.
With silver awards being the competition’s highest honor, the Telly Awards recognizes the best in film and video production, online videos and television segments. More than 12,000 videos were submitted for consideration.
Myjive Inc., a digital media company based in Charlotte, N.C., produced the video. “I am a Volvo Trucker” was released in conjunction with Volvo Trucks’ 2014 North American merchandise collection.
