| Wednesday, June 11, 2014

Wednesday, June 11, 2014 – On Capitol Hill, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a two-year, $105 billion funding bill for transportation and housing on Tuesday evening, June 10. H.R.4745 is known as the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2015 – or THUD.

The bill includes the Daines/Graves amendment passed earlier in the day that OOIDA favors that would prevent the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration from trying to raise the minimum amount of insurance truckers are required to carry.

Next week, the full U.S. Senate is scheduled to take up its version of the bill.
