American Truck Historical Society’s 2014 National Convention and Antique Truck Show will be held May 29-31 at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Mo.
Hosted by ATHS, the largest antique truck club in the United States, everything from the high spoke-wheel trucks of the early 1900s to the 18-wheel rigs of today will be on display. The National Association of Show Trucks will meet during the ATHS convention, which will add newer, working show trucks to the lineup.
A speaker’s program will also take place during the Antique Truck Show. Topics of discussion will include C.W. McCall, Missouri Route 66, Campbell 66 Express and the History of Peterbilt.
A youth judging program will be offered by Hagerty Insurance on Saturday. An Africa Photo Safari will be auctioned off during the Awards Banquet on Friday night.
Pre-registration is now closed, but you can still register your truck on-site. The daily gate fee is $10 per day for ages 16 and older; admission is free for ages 15 and younger accompanied with a paying adult.
The show will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. Parking is free.
