Canada OKs boat tails

| Wednesday, March 12, 2014

In Canada, the national transportation department, Transport Canada, has given the green light to truckers using full-length boat tails – or trailer tails – to cut down on wind resistance. It will be up to the individual provinces to set their own standards.

Until now, nothing on the rear of a Canadian trailer could protrude more than 2 feet. In the U.S., boat tails protrude about 6 feet.
