In New York, the jury deliberated for a little over an hour Friday morning before declaring Kerry Kennedy innocent of driving under the influence of drugs. CNNreports the daughter of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and ex-wife of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo hugged her attorneys and then shook hands with the prosecutors.

Kennedy was charged with DUI after sideswiping a tractor-trailer in 2012 while driving on Interstate 684 near her home in Bedford, then pulling over and passing out. She testified that she got her medications mixed up that morning and accidentally took zolpidem, a sleeping pill.

Rocco Scuiletti of Poughkeepsie, the driver of the tractor-trailer, kept going as he did not think his vehicle was damaged. According to the New York Times, Scuiletti was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, a noncriminal violation, and pleaded guilty in November 2012 to disobeying a traffic device. The penalty, negotiated with the district attorney’s office, was a $130 fine and two points on his license.
