TRACER ALERT: Truck and trailer stolen in Alabama

OOIDA’s TRACER website reports the theft of a tractor-trailer from near a truck leasing lot in Alabama.

A 2014 maroon Peterbilt 389 truck and 2009 Great Dane dry van trailer were reported stolen on Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 609 Culver St., a frontage road west of Interstate 65 in Falkville, Ala. The location is near Interstate Truck and Equipment. The truck is maroon with “Centennial Southern Express Falkville, AL” in white lettering down the doors, and Fitzgerald Gliders in the sleeper area.

The trailer is white and 53 feet long with an Alabama registration plate. TRACER lists an Alabama license plate of 106407U for the truck, and plate number A077622 for the trailer.

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of this item. Call 202-246-2698.

TRACER, the Transportation Alert Communication and Emergency Response program, was launched in 2009 by OOIDA. The program is a two-way communication system that sends alerts to members and coordinates information received from trucking members.
