Houston police still searching for leads in hit-and-run death of trucker

Investigators are still searching for the driver of a car who struck and killed a Texas truck driver as he crossed the street around 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, in Houston.

The victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, has been identified as Carlos Edwardo Lollar of Longhorn Express Logistics, according to Tricia A. Bentley, public information officer with the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Houston Police are still searching for the driver of a white Mitsubishi Lancer, who fled on foot after striking Lollar and then crashing into a nearby utility pole.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences told Land Line that as of Tuesday morning the full report has not been released.
