The OOIDA Business Education Series is rolling out a handful of free podcasts on topics such as Canadian border crossing and health and wellness for truckers.
The podcasts, which are between 23 and 25 minutes long, can be found at the OOIDA Foundation website, under the “Education & Tools” tab, or by clicking here.
“With the new changes in the CDL Medical Certification regulations there are going to be a lot of drivers looking for help,” webinar host Tom Gann said. “These are informational podcasts that we feel should be available to everyone, even the casual listener.”
The “Northern Border Crossing” podcast features Gann and members of the OOIDA Foundation discussing new regulations for drivers and shippers who have to travel into Canada. The new regulations require that documents for shipments going into Canada be sent ahead electronically for clearance at the border. This podcast helps explain some of the most common problems faced and how to deal with the new regulations.
Gann said truckers can expect more podcasts, videos and webinars to be offered online in 2013.
“We are going to be coming out with several of these this year, to try to entice drivers to start using all of our electronic tools,” he said.
