The financial publication Industry Week has named Wabash National Corp. as one of its “Best 50 U.S. Manufacturers” – quite an achievement given the economic struggles of trailer makers in the past five years.
Apple topped the list at No. 1. Wabash was ranked 49th. Wabash National, which is headquartered in Lafayette, Ind., makes mainly truck trailers – from dry vans and flatbeds to reefers and tankers.
Wabash National’s operations are largely organized under three wholly owned subsidiaries: Transcraft Corp., Walker Group Holdings and Wabash National Trailer Centers Inc.
Industry Week selects its top 50 based solely on the financial performance of the companies. This is the second time Wabash National was named among the 50 best, having made the list in 2006.
