Wait a minute, who knows more about this than truckers?

There’s a culture out there that says if you don’t support the latest safety technology or add-on then you’re somehow opposed to safety. From where truckers stand, nothing could be further from the truth.

You’re going to be hearing a lot more about a back-to-basics approach to highway safety in the near future.

“Land Line Now” Host Mark Reddig and guest Ryan Bowley of OOIDA’s Washington, D.C., office will discuss the role truckers have in the safety discussion as part of a two-part series airing Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. Eastern on the Road Dog Channel, Sirius XM 128.

“We cannot create experience, but we can do more to ensure there’s a safe new driver in the cab of the truck and someone who views trucking as a career opportunity and not just a job,” said Bowley, who is OOIDA’s director of government affairs.
