Convoy of Hope and Bass Pro Shops have partnered to bring relief efforts to Moore, OK, in the wake of the recent EF-5 tornado that ripped through the community more than a week ago.

Bass Pro Shops, headquartered in Springfield, MO, immediately shipped cases of water, batteries, headlamps, jerky and ready-to-eat meals to Moore. The shipments arrived at the Convoy of Hope point of distribution located in Oklahoma City on Friday, May 24.

This is not the first time Bass Pro has partnered with the Convoy of Hope. Two years ago, Bass Pro Shops partnered with the faith-based organization when the organization responded to the Joplin, MO, tornado. In 2011 Johnny Morris, founder of Bass Pro Shops and his wife, Jeanie, received Convoy of Hope’s Legacy Award, which is given annually.

Convoy of Hope, founded in 1994, has a long history as a first responder in times of natural disasters and has been a Four Star Charity as recognized by Charity Navigator for nine consecutive years.
