A third-party contractor is offering free courses this spring to help explain how to comply with trucking emissions regulations enforced by the California Air Resources Board.
CleanFleets.net says it is acting as CARB’s contractor for the course, which will review truck inspections, the consequences of not complying and specific regulations, including:
The Heavy-Duty Diesel Vehicle Inspection Program;
Periodic Smoke Inspection Program;
Truck and Bus Regulation;
Tractor-Trailer Greenhouse Gas (SmartWay) Regulation;
The class will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 28, at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel located at 8235 N.E. Airport Way in Portland, OR.
Other courses on CARB compliance will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, and from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, in Phoenix, AZ. For more information on future courses taught by CleanFleets.net, click here.

According to the CleanFleets.net website, the company has been contracted by CARB to conduct 100 training meetings for diesel vehicle owners.
