OOIDA recognizes drivers for safe driving records

OOIDA recently announced honorees in the Association’s Safe Driving Award program. The following drivers have been recognized by the Association for truck driving excellence:

  • David D. Foster of Joplin, MO, has been recognized for 30 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Edmund Warren of Loxley, AL, has been recognized for 24 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Michael L. Williams of Zanesville, OH, has been recognized for 23 years of safe, accident-free driving. He currently hauls mail for the United States Postal Service.
  • Richard B. Donahue of Lady Lake, FL, has been recognized for 17 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Michael I. MacPherson of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, has been recognized for 17 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Rodney B. Miller of Salina, KS, has been recognized for 14 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Larry R. Armstrong of Indian Trail, NC, has been recognized for 13 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Sunny Ramen of Jersey City, NJ, has been recognized for 13 years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Reyna S. Traywick-Nance of Beech Bluff, TN, has been recognized for seven years of safe, accident-free driving.
  • Evelyn R. Donahue of Lady Lake, FL, has been recognized for four years of safe, accident-free driving.


The OOIDA Safe Driving Award Program is designed to recognize and reward OOIDA members for their safe, accident-free years while operating a commercial vehicle. Safe driving awards are available to all eligible OOIDA members who qualify based on the number of years for which the member has operated a commercial vehicle without being involved in a preventable accident.
