TRACER ALERT: Two trucks stolen in separate incidents

OOIDA’s TRACER website reports the theft of two tractors in separate incidents in Alabama and Texas.

A 2003 Peterbilt truck was reported stolen on Monday, May 20, around 2 a.m. from Carter Farm in Elmore, AL. The truck is a silver 379 model, with “Carter Landscaping Inc.” on the doors. TRACER lists an Alabama license plate of 1073395 and a VIN number of 1XP5DB9X43D586008 for the truck.
 
A 2007 Peterbilt truck was reported stolen on Sunday, May 19 from South Freeway Truck Stop in Houston, TX. The truck is a 379 model, champagne with red fenders. It has “PMI” on both sides of the truck and neon yellow lights around the truck. TRACER lists a Mississippi license plate of A236212 and a VIN number of 1XPDB9X87N674284 for the truck.

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of these items. Call 202-246-2698.

TRACER, the Transportation Alert Communication and Emergency Response program, was launched in 2009 by OOIDA. The program is a two-way communication system that sends alerts to members and coordinates information received from trucking members.
