TRACER ALERT: Stolen rig sought in Michigan

OOIDA’s TRACER website reports the theft of a big rig from a truck stop in southeastern Michigan.

A 2006 Freightliner tractor was reported stolen sometime between Saturday, April 27, and Monday, April 29, from a parking lot at Madco Truck Plaza on Ecorse Road in Romulus, MI. The truck is a dark blue Columbia model. It has a Landstar logo on the door and Harley Davidson mud flaps. TRACER lists an Illinois license plate of P673261 and a VIN number of 1FUJA6AV06LV12971 for the truck.
 
A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of this item. Call 202-246-2698.

TRACER, the Transportation Alert Communication and Emergency Response program, was launched in 2009 by OOIDA. The program is a two-way communication system that sends alerts to members and coordinates information received from trucking members.
