TRACER ALERTS: Stolen rigs sought in New Jersey, Louisiana

OOIDA’s TRACER website reports the thefts of a tractor-trailer combo and a trailer in two separate incidents.

A 2005 International tractor and 2006 Stoughton dry van trailer were reported stolen on Monday, April 15, from a parking lot on Ackerman Ave. in Clifton, NJ. The truck is a white 9400I model and the trailer is also white. “Dragan Transportion is on both sides of the truck as well as a faded “Dutch Made.” Rig and cargo both stolen on April 12. TRACER lists a New Jersey license plate of AP568E and a VIN number of 2HSCNSBR25C149832 for the truck, and a New Jersey license plate of TJA89P and a VIN number of 1DW1A53246B904162 for the trailer.
 
A 1997 Wabash flatbed trailer was stolen between April 6 and April 12 from a Jubilee Fuel Stop at Highway 3127 in Vacherie, LA. The trailer is red with an aluminum and wood deck. The trailer also features a lumber basket and pipe sockets on the sides. TRACER lists a Louisiana license plate number of L563570 and a VIN number of 1JJF48261VL415307.

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of each of these items. Call 202-246-2698.

TRACER, the Transportation Alert Communication and Emergency Response program, was launched in 2009 by OOIDA. The program is a two-way communication system that sends alerts to members and coordinates information received from trucking members.
