| Wednesday, November 21, 2012

The St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund has extended its trade school scholarship application deadline to Dec. 28. The $10,000 scholarship is made possible by a grant from TBS Factoring Service and will be awarded to a former truck driver who can no longer drive professionally due to medical problems.

The scholarship winner will be announced in early January. The SCF Board of Directors will oversee the scholarship and disperse the funds to the trade school of the winner’s choice upon enrollment confirmation.

TBS Factoring Service LLC, of Oklahoma City, OK, is a family business providing flexible cash flow solutions to independent truckers.

The SCF was founded in late 2007 as a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization. Its mission is to provide assistance to professional truck drivers whose medical problems have led to financial hardship.
