Two truck drivers, whose names are unknown, probably kept a suspected drunk driver from injuring or killing herself and maybe others. The incident occurred Thursday, Nov. 8, on northbound Interstate 71 in Kentucky.

According to police spokeman Dwight Mitchell, officers responded to a report of a reckless motorist driving on a blown-out tire rim. When they arrived, the two semitrailers had pulled in front of the car and stopped traffic.

The truckers stopped her by pulling their semitrailers in front of Miranda D. Works, 30, Louisville. Works has been charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving.

Mitchell said they found her passed out in the driver’s seat. When they woke her up, she claimed she was trying to pull over but traffic was too heavy.

The truckers went on their way. Their names do not appear on the police report.
