The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has extended the declaration of emergency through Nov. 27 in response to Hurricane Sandy.

Extreme weather conditions and the ongoing relief effort were enough for the agency to extend the declaration past the initial projected date of Nov. 12.

The declaration includes an online clearinghouse for information by state. It also includes contact information for states and hotlines for truckers headed to the area. Click here to view the declaration, contact information and state-by-state emergency announcements.
