TRACER ALERT: Truck thefts in Illinois, Texas

OOIDA’s TRACER website reports authorities in Illinois and Texas are seeking information on the recovery of trucks stolen recently in separate incidents.

A green 2003 Freightliner Century was reported stolen on Oct. 2 from 5101 Lawndale Road in Summit, IL. The truck has “9108” on both sides of the hood in white letters and “Streamline Transport Solutions” on the doors. The Illinois license plate is listed as P783678 and the VIN number as 1FUJBBBG03PG99108.

On Oct. 6, a white 2001 Freightliner Century was reported stolen from Houston, TX. The truck has a red Arkansas Razorback logo and “Prime Transportation” on both doors. It has an unknown Arkansas license plate, but the VIN number is listed as 1FUYO5ZB11LG34898.

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of each of these trucks. Call 202-246-2698.

TRACER, the Transportation Alert Communication and Emergency Response program, was launched in 2009 by OOIDA. The program is a two-way communication system that sends alerts to members and coordinates information received from trucking members.

Members can sign up to receive text messages and email alerts for truck thefts and missing persons.
