OOIDA recognizes drivers for safe driving records

OOIDA recently announced honorees in the Association’s Safe Driving Award program. The following drivers have been recognized by the Association for truck-driving excellence:

Paul D. Jones of Plainfield, NJ, has been recognized for 40 years of safe, accident-free driving. He currently hauls general commodities.
Gene A. Gingrich of Shartlesville, PA, has been recognized for 23 years of safe, accident-free driving. He currently hauls refrigerated food products.
Robert Michael Webb of Locust, NC, has been recognized for 20 years of safe, accident-free driving. He currently hauls general commercial freight.
Tony Smith of Indianapolis, IN, has been recognized for 17 years of safe, accident-free driving. He currently hauls general freight.
Juan Urra of Tampa, FL, has been recognized for 10 years of safe, accident-free driving. He currently hauls military, retail and general commodities.
Shawn L. Kirscht of Walsenburg, CO, has been recognized for nine years of safe, accident-free driving. He currently hauls general freight.
Tibor Buhajla of Knoxville, AR, has been recognized for eight years of safe, accident-free driving. He currently hauls oversize loads.
Michael J. Parker of Mesa, AZ, has been recognized for six years of safe, accident-free driving. He currently hauls automobiles.
Juan Urra of Tampa, FL, has been recognized for 10 years of safe, accident-free driving. He currently hauls military, retail and general commodities.
Marcus V. Benning of Des Moines, IA, has been recognized for one year of safe, accident-free driving. He currently pulls a dry van primarily hauling tires for Titan and Firestone.

The OOIDA Safe Driving Award Program is designed to recognize and reward OOIDA members for their safe, accident-free years while operating a commercial vehicle. Safe driving awards are available to all eligible OOIDA members who qualify based on the number of years for which the member has operated a commercial vehicle without being involved in a preventable accident.
