TRACER ALERT: Truck, car hauler thefts in Louisiana, Georgia

OOIDA’s TRACER website reports the theft of a Peterbilt in Louisiana and a car hauler in Georgia.

In Des Allemands, LA, a 2007 Peterbilt 379 EXHD was reported stolen from the Valero Bayou Travel Center on Oct. 1. The truck is black cherry with full stainless steel fenders. It has “Acme Truck Line” on the battery box and steps. The Louisiana license number is reported as P206343, and the VIN number is 1XP5DB9X37N670644.

A black and brown 2004 Wally-Mo car hauler was reported stolen on Sept. 29 from Adesa Auction at 5055 Oakley Industrial Blvd. in Fairburn, GA. The trailer has “Wally-Mo” on the side with Georgia license plate number LE4325G. The VIN number is listed as 1W9H853254H157409.

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of each of these vehicles. Call 202-246-2698.

TRACER, the Transportation Alert Communication and Emergency Response program, was launched in 2009 by OOIDA. The program is a two-way communication system that sends alerts to members and coordinates information received from trucking members.
