A Linden, NJ, CDL training school director was “shaken up, but not injured” after being robbed and tied up on Sept. 26, police told Land Line.

Richard Diab was in his office at Smith and Solomon Training Solutions for about 10 minutes on Wednesday morning, Sept. 26, when a man entered and pointed a gun at him, according to the police report.

The man told Diab to “open the safe and give me the money.” The robber knew of a safe in another office and demanded that money as well.

The suspect then took Diab back to his office and zip-tied his ankles and wrists to the floor safe. The robber left with approximately $10,000 in cash and $2,500 in personal checks, stated Lt. James Sarnicki.

The manager arrived and found Diab about 10 minutes later. There was no video surveillance on the property. Police are investigating leads.
