Joplin 44 Petro will host the 16th Annual Joplin Truckers Jamboree on Friday, May 18.

Country western artist Leland Martin will be performing at this year’s event. His show begins at 7 p.m.

Martin has been playing guitar and singing since he was 11 years old, and dedicates much of his music to professional truck drivers. He is most famous among drivers for his single “Stone Cold Fingers,” a track from his album “Simply Traditional.” He and his wife, Pam, have also donated time and other resources to various trucking causes, including OOIDA’s Truckers for Troops. Martin is an OOIDA life member.

In addition to Martin’s music, the event will feature exhibits, an antique car and truck display, live entertainment, carnival rides, fireworks, a BBQ cookout and more.

Joplin 44 Petro is part of the Iowa 80 Group, based in Walcott, IA.
