A San Antonio truck driver has been charged with murder in connection with the case of a prostitute who turned up beaten and dead in Lubbock in late January.

KSAT-TV reported that a Lubbock, TX grand jury has charged Kenneth Dunn, 54, in connection with the death of 43-year-old Stephanie Williams.

Dunn is charged with murder and is being held on $500,000 bond.

Dunn allegedly picked up Williams at a Dallas-area truck stop in late January.

Williams was reportedly found dead and wrapped in a sheet in Lubbock January 25, according to KCBD-TV. Dunn was heading to Lubbock that day to deliver a load, the station reported. Williams reportedly suffered blunt force trauma to the head.

According to the Lubbock County Sheriff’s jail roster, Dunn remains locked up in the county jail.

KSAT said five other prostitutes have been found in the same area around Lubbock in the last 12 years. Police haven’t ruled out Dunn’s involvement in those cases.
