If the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville is on your calendar for March 22-24, be sure to include a stroll through the show trucks.

Behind the West Wing you’ll find plenty of trucker eye candy as the Paul K. Young Memorial Truck Beauty Championship entries vie for prizes and bragging rights.

The event, which has become a star attraction at the Mid-America Trucking Show, celebrates North America’s heavy-duty, working show trucks.

Bud Farquhar is directing the Paul K. Young and will be the host at the annual awards ceremony on Saturday morning at its normal 10 a.m. slot. Farquhar says the kids from Clarion County Career Center are coming with another bobtail built by the students. Look for the action in Lot J on the west side of the complex, behind the West Wing.

In addition, the Louisville show is officially the kickoff of the National Association of Show Trucks 2012 show truck competition, plus the judging of their Truck-Lite Trophy Series competition and the championship awards. You can find NAST at their regular Booth No. 91450, outside the South Wing. NAST President Chuck Kemner is personally inviting all truckers with an eye for awesome to come by.
