Operation Roger’s fifth annual fundraising auction is happening on Saturday, March 24 at 7 p.m. at the Papa John's parking lot after the closing of the Mid-America Trucking Show.

The charitable pet transport organization will also be at booth 66245 in the West Wing of the Kentucky Expo Center. A spokesman for the group, Tony Hamilton says this is Operation  oger’s only organized fundraiser event.

“It is what allows us to operate throughout the year,” says Hamilton.

The auction features items donated by truck supply vendors and individuals. The products range from truck-related items to handcrafted quilts and jewelry.

Hamilton said that this year several other charity organizations such as Trucker Charity Inc., Truckers United for Charities and JRB Memorial Fund will also have items for sale.

Professional auctioneer Murray McCandlis, Elizabethtown, KY, will handle the sale.

“Murray handled the auction last year and the crowd loved him, he’s really entertaining,” noted Hamilton, who says the auction will start at 7 and go until finished.
