Cross-country runner Jazzy Jordan was running in the Camden, NJ, area today – about a hundred miles from her destination of New York City.
She’s already covered more than 3,000 miles since starting her run near Los Angeles 10 months ago.
This morning her dad, OOIDA Life Member Lee Jordan, told Land Line Now on Sirius XM that he and Jazzy were a little behind schedule but that people are showing up to run with her and that helps a lot.
Lee says if they have to push back their arrival date in New York City they will, but the current plan is to end the cross-country run sometime between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. next Tuesday, June 15, in Times Square.
Jazzy is running from California to New York to raise awareness of truckers who lack medical insurance and to raise money for the St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund, a Knoxville, TN-based nonprofit group that helps truckers obtain medical care at reduced prices.

Jazzy’s website has pictures and information about her run and how to donate to the St. Christopher Fund.
