NJ lawmakers consider highway legislation

Lawmakers are considering legislation that would replace the New Jersey Highway Authority, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and South Jersey Transportation Authority with the New Jersey Toll Roads Authority. The bill, A2331, was introduced by Jeffrey W. Moran and has been referred to the Assembly Transportation Committee.

The legislature also could establish a fuel cell research center at Rutgers. The bill, A2548, was introduced by John F. McKeon and has been referred to the Assembly Environment and Solid Waste Committee.
