In San Diego, the man who allegedly fired numerous shots at drivers on interstates 5 and 805 on Monday, Oct. 3, was arrested at gunpoint on Tuesday.
The Los Angeles Times reports 24-year-old Enrique Ayon offered no resistance.
No one was killed in the shooting spree but one man was shot in the leg and one bullet struck an ambulance. Parts of the interstates were shut down for hours.
Police say they don’t have a motive for the apparent random shootings. Ayon was arrested on suspicion of discharging a firearm, attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into a vehicle, according to reports.
