Truck owners are invited to apply for diesel grant funding through a Wisconsin-based organization.
The Leonardo Academy is accepting grant funding proposals in anticipation of the organization receiving federal diesel emission grant funds later this fall.
According to an announcement by the Leonardo Academy, the Wisconsin-based organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit interested in helping truck owners reduce emissions through retrofit devices, idle-reduction technologies, aerodynamic technologies, engine repowers and/or vehicle or equipment replacement.
“We strongly recommend planning your funding requests ahead of time,” the organization said in its announcement.
Leonardo Academy works with truck owners to submit the proposals to EPA, said Andrea Bachrach, sustainability project specialist.
Bachrach told Land Line that truck owners nationally are eligible to apply for the grant.
Leonardo Academy anticipates it will provide grants for emissions technologies listed at this website.
