You have plenty of events to choose from for the rest of the summer and fall season.

Sometimes big rigs are pocket-sized. Check out the National Toy Truck ‘n Construction Show Aug. 19-21 at the Wyndham Indianapolis West in Indianapolis, IN. Radio-controlled semis will be zooming around. A familiar model, the Eilen & Sons Peterbilt 379 with the Mac end dump trailer, also known as the “Iron Outlaw” will be available to order. For the second year, OOIDA Senior Member Tinker Raasch is hosting the Chase County Fair Truck Show, Aug. 19-20. The show is at the swimming pool parking lot at 521 E 9th St. in Imperial, NE. Get to the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, TX, Aug. 25-27 for the Great American Trucking Show. It’s the nation’s second-largest trucking trade show. For more information, visit or call 888-349-4287.

The “Parade of Lights” across the Mackinac Bridge is always a favorite at the Richard Crane Memorial Truck Show, which begins Sept. 16 and runs through Sept. 18. This NAST event is taking place in St. Ignace, MI, and admission is free. For more information, visit or call 906-643-8087.

Besides battling breast cancer, this year’s Ontario East Convoy for a Cure event will be raising money to fight three other types of “killer cancers.” This is the fourth year for Rachèle Champagne’s convoy, which is set to roll on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Alberta, Canada’s third Convoy for a Cure will roll Oct. 1 from the Roadking Travel Center in Sherwood Park. Truckers are convoying to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. For more information, visit
