| 6/23/2011

Having a hard time keeping up with the California Air Resources Board’s multiple diesel regulations? Have you run out of room on your scorecard marking adjustments and changes during the agency’s never-ending regulation amendment process?

You’re not alone.

To help explain its diesel rules, CARB is hosting a training course on July 19 in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College.

The program will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the college, located at 400 West Washington Blvd.

The course will explain details about the state Periodic Smoke Inspection Program; the Heavy-duty Vehicle Inspection Program; the Commercial Vehicle and School Bus Idling Rule; Emission Control Labels; Verified Diesel Emission Control Strategies; the Truck and Bus Rule; the Transport Refrigeration United (Reefer) Rule; the Tractor/Trailer Greenhouse Gas Reduction (Smartway) Rule; and in-use off-road diesel regulations.

The program is free, but CARB encourages participants to enroll prior to the training course.
