The California Air Resources Board is proposing several amendments to upcoming diesel emissions regulations, and truckers and other members of the public are invited to listen and give their own opinions about the rules.
The meetings will be held Aug. 31 in El Monte, Sept. 1 in San Diego, Sept. 3 in Fresno, Sept. 7 in Sacramento, and Sept. 8 in Oakland. The Sept. 7 meeting in Sacramento will also be webcast.
The meetings will include presentations from CARB staff, followed by public comment periods.
Materials breaking down the proposed changes can be found here for the truck and bus rule and here for the drayage truck rule. For general questions on all diesel regulations, call CARB’s diesel regulation hotline at 1-866-6DIESEL (1-866-634-3735).
In the past, CARB staff has made changes to working diesel regulations because of feedback given by audience members participating in the discussion.
